NTR is scheduled to undergo shoulder surgery at KIMS Hospitals in Hyderabad on August 12, following an injury sustained in July. His office confirmed the development on Tuesday, stating that the procedure was scheduled after a thorough medical evaluation. Doctors have advised the actor to take six to eight weeks of complete rest to ensure a full recovery.

Impact on Dragon Production

The injury comes as NTR is actively shooting for Prashanth Neel’s highly anticipated action drama Dragon. While reports have linked the injury to the film’s production, his team has not officially confirmed that it occurred during the shoot. The film, produced by Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts, stars NTR alongside Rukmini Vasanth, Anil Kapoor, Biju Menon, and Khushbu Sundar. Dragon is currently scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on June 11, 2027.

Recovery and Next Steps

With surgery now scheduled, NTR‘s immediate priority will be a smooth recovery before returning to his professional commitments. The production schedule of Dragon will have to accommodate his recovery period. However, there is currently no indication that the film’s announced June 2027 release date has been affected. His team has assured fans that further updates will be provided following the surgery.
